Heavy rains help replenish Nebraska groundwater
November 29, 2007

Central Nebraska has gotten about double the rainfall year-to-date that it received last year, which has helped improve groundwater levels. Even with the improvement, the state is still experiencing a long-term drought that is apparently the worst in 300 years. Ironically, that makes stormwater management a more challenging issue than normal.
