Vetoed water bill included six big Nebraska projects

The President's veto of the Water Resources Development Act has put six large Nebraska projects on hold until funding can be found -- possibly through a Congressional override of the veto. Among the projects affected are drought mitigation in the Republican River basin and drinking-water protections to help reduce flooding along the Platte River that gets especially bad when ice jams build up in winter.
