EPA releases guidebook for ethanol plants

EPA Region 7, which includes Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri, has released a 104-page manual summarizing environmental laws applying to ethanol plants. With more than five billion gallons of ethanol having been produced in 2006, the environmental impact of plant construction and operation is coming under increasing scrutiny.
