Grand Island deals with sewer emergency

The city of Grand Island had a sewer emergency last week, caused by hydrogen sulfide corrosion of pipes leading to the plant. We have a long list of portable trash pumps available for just such an emergency, as well as portable lift stations which many communities are finding invaluable to keep as permanent standby systems.
