Cattle groups oppose expanded Clean Water Act

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association and other groups with a strong presence in the western US have come out with a public campaign against HR 2421, which would expand the Clean Water Act by applying Federal jurisdiction to many waters currently regulated by the states. Environmental groups are lobbying for the bill, but the western groups are calling it a "Federal government power grab".
