4" and 6" check valves for tight spots

DJ Gongol & Associates is pleased to offer the Gorman-Rupp Company's line of compact swing check valves for applications in wastewater service.

Check valves from a pump company?

Gorman-Rupp is best known as a pump company. With a storied history tracing back to 1933, GR is the premier pump manufacturer in the United States, with preeminent experience in self-priming and submersible pumps alike. But Gorman-Rupp has also been the leading manufacturer of factory-built packaged pump stations, going all the way back to their introduction in 1968.

Compact valves for compact stations

Gorman-Rupp developed its own line of check valves specifically to fit the compact spaces inside their economical lift station packages. But it turns out that smaller, lighter-weight valves are attractive outside of packaged lift stations, too. Without sacrificing solids passage, Gorman-Rupp managed to shrink the face-to-face length of a 6" check valve by about 50% while reducing weight by as much as 65%, compared with other well-known check valves.

The advantages are big

Lighter-weight check valves put less strain on piping, make retrofitting easier, increase layout flexibility, and please system operators (who won't have as much to lift!). The maintenance-friendly design of the Gorman-Rupp swing check valve simplifies cleanout and encourages a long operational service life.
