How to fight a fire when there's no water around
July 28, 2009
A fire near Elkhorn, Nebraska
, destroyed a building and some equipment at a veterinary center last week. The building was a mile away from the nearest public water source, so three fire departments contributed to an effort to shuttle water to the site via tankers in order to fight the fire. PTO-driven fire pumps
are frequently used by fire departments that have to pump water from temporary or out-of-the-way sources in cases like these. We also supply a large range of engine-driven fire pumps
for similar purposes.
