USDA researchers think storms will get more erosive over next century
October 10, 2006

Researchers at the US Department of Agriculture, using projections of increasingly heavy rainfall caused by climate change, think that stormwater runoff could increase by 20% or more across parts of the United States, creating severe erosion problems, depleting the soil, and aggravating drought conditions in some locations (since stormwater that runs off is not captured and incorporated into the soil).
