Monoflo line of progressive-cavity pumps in the state of Iowa.
Monoflo's newest innovation is the EZ-Strip pump layout. It's designed to allow the pump to be maintained in place, dramatically reducing the amount of time and effort required for routine maintenance on a progressive-cavity pump from hours to just minutes.
Traditional progessive-cavity pumps require full removal from plant piping to replace pump rotors, stators, and connecting rods. This can take hours in some applications. As municipalities and industry find themselves with shrinking maintenance budgets, smaller staffs, and a growing problem of institutional memory (as older workers retire without fully transfering ther knowledge and experience to their replacements), anything that makes maintenance practices simpler and less expensive is a welcome development.
With the Monoflo EZ-Strip design, there's no need to dismantle piping, and operators need only a wrench and an allen key to conduct maintenance. Monoflo's patented split coupling on the EZ-Strip models eliminates the need for dismantling space, and the detachable feed chamber allows for easy maintenance without disconnection from the pipe work.
The new EZ-Strip design has
no effect on flow and pressure, so there's no need to de-rate the pumps -- they work just as well as their classic counterparts. But the suction and discharge ports can remain connected to the pipe work, even when de-ragging is required, which saves time -- and that saves on maintenance budgets.
