Water crisis in the Southwest

A report issued by the National Research Council says that the continued urbanization of the American Southwest means that fights are going to break out between farms and urban centers over which has rights to the region's very limited water supplies. It seems likely (based strictly on where the votes are) that farms are going to lose out, and agricultural production will probably shift away from the region.
