It's not only the Upper Plains region suffering from drought; part of the Deep South is short on water, too. Residents of the Atlanta area are dealing with a serious shortage of available water -- a condition that not only inconveniences homeowners with parched lawns, but that also threatens the livelihoods of some firms.
