Commission will consider new land-application rule in July

Following up on yesterday's news that the Iowa Environmental Protection Commission was considering a major restriction on land application of manure, the commission in fact did vote to consider the ban more seriously at its July meeting. If approved, some farmers may need to look at new ways to manage manure, including the use of covered lagoons.
