OSHA Rules on Confined-Space Entry
February 16, 2006
One of the most important sets of rules in water and wastewater treatment is OSHA's guidance on confined-space entry. The bottom line to the standards is that any space with limited escape routes is potentially dangerous. The danger posed by many confined spaces is why we strongly advocate the use of above-ground lift stations and self-priming pumps. The less time individuals spend exposed to hazardous environments, the better -- and self-priming pumps are a very good way to keep people safe.
